Dianthus' mother Dasyuri died giving birth to her, and three years later her father Wreath died of a broken heart. Since then Dianthus has been raised by an old Seer, Oshibana (though Dianthus does not know her name!), an active woman over 120 years old.

Having been born with a birthmark of the symbol of Uos and her parent both having passed when she was young lead to a tough childhood where most other children avoided her. One time Plumeria visited with her father, who had business with The Seer, and they became lifelong friends. Plumeria gave Dianthus a stuffed Galwag toy, something she has never forgotten.

She was still shunned by her peers as a teen and as such she put most of her energy into studies. At least until whenever Plumeria visited and they played tricks on those they saw as deserving of it.

Dianthus was raised to be the senshi of Uos since she was three and achieved her first transformation at the age of 14. She refused to take sides during the civil war, but did fight against the Tarot of Cataclysm when they invaded. Badly injured, she used the healing power of Black Ice Block to encase herself with ice on Uos until she was ready to return.
